The power of love is a curious thing
curious = a) rare, b) strange, c) interesting/ mysterious

a curiosity = a strange thing

Change a hawk to a little white dove

a hawk = sb who supports a strong military
a dove = a peace lover
In this case I think "hawk" refers to someone who is quick to anger.

Love is tough but can make you rich.
