3. It’s raining cats a dogs. = It’s raining hard.
4. I’ve got to go see a man about a dog. = I have to go to the restroom
5. The stock market is a dog eat dog world. = It’s VERY competitive.
6. I'm as sick as a dog. = very sick… throwing up, etc.
7. I work like a dog. = I work very hard.
8. He’s a sick puppy. = He is mentally sick, demented, nuts, crazy.
9. You are barking up the wrong tree. = お門違い
10. If you lie down with dogs, you will get up with fleas.
= Don’t associate with bad people.
